EFG Laos – Volunteer Terms and Conditions
By registering as a volunteer for any event organized or supported by EFG Laos Individual Enterprise ("EFG Laos"), you agree to the following Terms and Conditions:
1. Volunteer Status
1.1 Volunteers participate on a voluntary basis and are not employees, contractors, or agents of EFG Laos.
1.2 No salary or wages will be paid. Any benefits provided (such as meals, T-shirts, certificates, transportation, or gifts) are goodwill support and not considered compensation.
2. Eligibility
2.1 Volunteers must be in good physical and mental condition to perform assigned duties.
2.2 Volunteers under 18 years old must have consent from a parent or legal guardian.
2.3 EFG Laos reserves the right to assign, reassign, or refuse participation based on suitability or event needs.
3. Roles and Responsibilities
3.1 Volunteers agree to:
- Attend briefings and training if required
- Follow instructions from team leaders and event officials
- Perform assigned duties responsibly and professionally
- Be punctual and remain on duty during assigned shifts
3.2 Volunteers must not:
- Leave their assigned post without permission
- Consume alcohol or illegal substances during duty
- Engage in unsafe, abusive, or disruptive behavior
4. Health and Safety
4.1 Volunteers acknowledge that event activities may involve physical effort and outdoor conditions.
4.2 Volunteers agree to take reasonable care of their own safety and the safety of others.
4.3 Any injury, illness, or unsafe situation must be reported immediately to the volunteer coordinator or event management.
5. Liability and Insurance
5.1 Volunteers participate at their own risk.
5.2 To the extent permitted by law, volunteers agree that EFG Laos, event partners, sponsors, and authorities shall not be liable for personal injury, illness, loss, or damage to personal property, except in cases of proven gross negligence.
5.3 Volunteers are encouraged to have their own personal accident or health insurance.
6. Code of Conduct
6.1 Volunteers must treat participants, spectators, staff, and fellow volunteers with respect and courtesy.
6.2 Harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior of any kind will result in immediate removal from the event.
6.3 Volunteers must not collect money, accept tips, or request gifts from participants or sponsors.
7. Uniforms and Equipment
7.1 Any uniform, ID badge, or equipment provided must be used only for official duties and returned if requested.
7.2 Volunteers are responsible for taking reasonable care of any equipment issued to them.
8. Photography and Media
8.1 Volunteers grant EFG Laos the right to use photographs, video recordings, and interviews taken during the event for promotional, reporting, and marketing purposes without compensation.
8.2 Personal social media posts must not misrepresent the event or disclose confidential information.
9. Cancellation and Changes
9.1 EFG Laos reserves the right to change volunteer roles, schedules, or cancel the event due to weather, safety concerns, force majeure, or other unforeseen circumstances.
9.2 In such cases, EFG Laos is not obligated to provide compensation.
10. Termination of Volunteer Service
10.1 EFG Laos may terminate a volunteer's participation at any time for breach of these terms, safety concerns, or misconduct.
10.2 Volunteers may also withdraw but should inform the volunteer coordinator as early as possible.
11. Acceptance of Terms
By signing up and participating as a volunteer, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
